3. Have online scammers tried to rip you off before? Please provide some details.
4. What would you tell people to help them avoid these scams. Provide 2 tips to avoid getting ripped off.

Directions for Monday 4/7/08
So today you will be reading an article from the the Wall Street Journals at the back of the room.
Read "Where There's Smoke" page 12 and answer the following questions on your blog.
Overview: Smoking rates are declining in the U.S. and Canada, but they're increasing in developing countries, including India, China, and Russia. Tobacco companies are stepping up their cigarette ads in these countries, while public health officials worry about the increase in smoking-related deaths.
Questions
1. Why is an improving economy positively correlated with smoking rates?
2. What challenges do public health officials face as smoking expands globally?
3. The article says companies are starting aggressive efforts to "push smoking in countries where there had been relatively little effort to discourage it." Is it ethical for companies to increase their smoking advertising in developing countries? Why or why not?
4. Would you take a great paying job as an accountant for a cigarette company? why or why not.
5. Research the history of cigarette advertising in the U.S. and comment at how the adds have changed over time. What types marketing was regulated by the government?(you could post some ad examples here)
